The Battle of Hastings (summary)
The battle of Hastings took place in 1066 and if you would like to know what
happened you just have to look at the Bayeux tapestry. It was on the Sussex
coast. The battle started with the death of king Edward King of England, however
William of thought that the crown belonged to him. King Harold was away when
William of Normandy came to attack. In battle the English got trapped by
Williams French army, the Normans then killed King Harold. After that the French
took over Anglo Saxon England and William became king of
England.
